Apex Bangladesh Foundation was formed on 12th February, 1980 and wasregistered with the joint stock companies on 13th march, 1980 under theSocieties Registration Act XXI of 1860.
The decision for formation of Foundation was taken in the 3rd National BoardMeeting of the National Association of Apex Clubs of Bangladesh on 5thNovember, 1978. The Association also approved the First Management Board ofApex Bangladesh Foundation with Apxn. S.A Shakoor as the Chairman and otherten members from different clubs.
Ihe objects of the Apex Bangladesh Foundation is to establish Health Centresand Medical Clinics, to provide vocational training and education by establishing Educational and Technical Institutions, to undertake relief and rehabilitation work during natural calamities and disaster, to take active interest in social welfare of the citizens without discrimination of caste or creed, to establish funds for financing welfare projects for citizens of Bangladesh.
Any member (active or retired) of any Apex Clubs of Bangladesh or their spouses affiliated to the National Association of Apex Clubs of Bangladesh onPayment of Tk. 2000= a lump sum can be Life Member of the Foundation.
An person other than Apexian may be admitted by the Management Board as Honorary Member without any payment for period not exceeding two years which may be renewed at the option of the Management Board.
A person on payment of Tk. 15,000/= or more may be admitted by the Management Board as Patron of the Foundation. Management Board may also admit any person of high standing or person rendering extraordinary serviceto Foundation as Patron.
At present the number of total Life Members is 667 as on 31.12. 2014.
